Defect
On hybrid vehicles, the fuel pump motor speed is set incorrectly, causing the motor brushes to vibrate and wear prematurely. As a result, a warning light illuminates, fuel delivery is interrupted, and the engine can no longer propel the vehicle, rendering it inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add a corrected wiring harness to bring the pump motor speed to the specified value, and replace the fuel pump with a new unit.

状況
ハイブリッド車の燃料ポンプにおいて、ポンプモータの回転数の設定が不適切なため、モータブラシが振動をおこし、早期に摩滅することがある。そのため、警告灯が点灯するとともに、燃料が供給できず、エンジンによる走行ができなくなり、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ポンプモータの回転数を適正化するために対策用の配線を追加するとともに、燃料ポンプを新品と交換する。
