Defect

The dust boot on the left front drive shaft is incorrectly designed. During driving, vehicle oscillation causes the boot's bellows sections to rub against each other, resulting in premature wear of the dust boot. Continued use allows the wear to progress until the dust boot is damaged and grease leaks out. In the worst case, the vehicle may become undrivable.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the left front drive shaft with the corrected parts.

状況

左側前輪のドライブシャフトにおいて、ダストブーツの設定が不適切なため、走行中の揺動によって蛇腹同士が擦れて、ダストブーツが早期に摩耗することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、摩耗が進行しダストブーツが破損してグリスが漏れ、最悪の場合、走行できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、左側前輪のドライブシャフトを対策品と交換する。
