Defect
In the vacuum pump of the brake booster, an incorrect manufacturing process has left foreign matter inside the pump on some units. The foreign matter may block the lubrication oil passage, causing inadequate lubrication and internal pump damage. This results in loss of vacuum assist function. When braking at high altitude or similar conditions, normal pedal effort may be insufficient to achieve effective braking. In addition, components damaged inside the pump may enter the engine and cause engine damage.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the vacuum pump serial number is verified, and units identified as affected are replaced with non-defective parts.

状況
制動倍力装置のバキュームポンプにおいて、当該ポンプの製造が不適切なため、ポンプ内部に異物が残留しているものがある。そのため、異物により潤滑用油路が塞がれると、潤滑不良となりポンプ内部が破損し、負圧補助機能が失われ、高地等でブレーキを掛ける際、通常の踏力ではブレーキの効きが悪くなるおそれがある。また、ポンプ内部で破損した部品がエンジン内部に入り、エンジンが損傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、バキュームポンプの製造番号を確認し、該当するものは良品と交換する。
