Defect
In the inflator of the passenger-seat dual-stage deployment airbag, moisture protection for the propellant is inadequate. Repeated cycles of temperature and humidity variation can cause the propellant to deteriorate. As a result, the inflator housing may rupture during airbag deployment.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, as a precautionary measure, the airbag assembly or inflator is replaced with an improved part. Work is scheduled to begin on January 14 for IS models and in early February for LFA models.

状況
助手席用二段展開制御式エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、ガス発生剤の吸湿防止が不適切なため、温度および湿度変化の繰り返しによりガス発生剤が劣化することがある。このため、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ容器が破損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、予防的措置としてエアバッグアッセンブリまたはインフレータを改良品と交換する。ＩＳは１月１４日、ＬＦＡは２月上旬から作業開始予定。
