Defect
The fuel filter drain plug mounting surface is not properly flat, causing the gasket to deform or develop compression cracks when the drain plug is overtorqued during manufacturing. Continued use under these conditions, or loosening and retorquing the drain plug during scheduled maintenance, may result in a fuel leak.
Corrective action
As an interim measure while corrected parts are being prepared, inspect the fuel filter on all vehicles. If a fuel leak is present, or if the vehicle is due for scheduled fuel filter maintenance, replace the fuel filter with a new unit. Once corrected parts become available, owners will be notified to return their vehicles for replacement of the drain plug and gasket with corrected parts.

状況
燃料フィルターにおいて、ドレンプラグ取付部の平面が確保できていないため、製造時に過大なトルクでドレンプラグを締め付けた場合に、ガスケットが変形もしくは圧縮割れが発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けたり、定期点検時にドレンプラグを緩め、再締め付け作業を行うと、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、対策品の準備に時間を要することから、対策品の供給が出来るまでの暫定措置として、燃料フィルターを点検し、燃料が漏れている場合または、燃料フィルターの定期点検時期に該当する場合は、燃料フィルターを新品に交換する。なお、準備が整い次第、再度入庫の通知を行なうとともに、燃料フィルターのドレンプラグとガスケットを対策品に交換する。
