Defect
On the engine accessory drive belt, uneven cord tension during belt manufacturing has reduced belt strength on some units. Engine drive forces may cause the belt to fracture, stopping the alternator and water pump and illuminating warning lights. In the worst case, the engine may stall and cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
Replace the engine accessory drive belt with a conforming unit on all vehicles.

状況
エンジン補機ベルトにおいて、ベルト製造時の芯線の張力が不均等なため、ベルトの強度が低下しているものがある。そのため、エンジンの駆動力によりベルトが破断し、オルタネータやウォーターポンプが停止して警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止して再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン補機ベルトを良品に交換する。
