Defect
In the automatic transmission, the shift cable anchor bracket is improperly assembled, resulting in an insufficient engagement at the anchor point. Continued use in this condition allows the shift cable to disengage from the anchor, fixing the transmission in a range that does not correspond to the shift lever position. In the worst case, the vehicle may move unintentionally.
Corrective action
Inspect the cable engagement condition on all vehicles. On any vehicle where engagement is insufficient, correctly reassemble the anchor bracket.

状況
自動変速機において、シフトケーブル固定部の組付けが不適切なため、当該固定部の嵌合が不十分なものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、シフトケーブルが固定部から外れてシフトレバーの位置と異なるレンジに固定され、最悪の場合、意図せず車両が動き出すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ケーブルの嵌め込み状態を確認し、嵌め込みが不十分なものは、正規に組付ける。
