Defect
During airbag deployment, the inflator housing may rupture and fragment. This can cause a vehicle fire or injure vehicle occupants.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected inflator with a new unit. If replacement parts are unavailable, the front passenger airbag will be deactivated and a warning indicating the airbag is non-operational will be displayed on the front passenger sun visor.

エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ容器が破損して飛び散り、出火したり乗員が負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該インフレータを新品と交換する。なお、交換用部品が不足した場合は、助手席エアバッグの機能を停止するとともに、助手席サンバイザ部に当該エアバッグが作動しない旨の警告を表示する。
