Defect
On driver's airbag units shipped as service replacement parts, the welding of the mounting bracket to the steering wheel was performed incorrectly. During use, the weld points may separate and detach. In the worst case, the airbag may not deploy in the correct position during activation, reducing occupant protection performance.
Corrective action
Replace the driver's airbag on all vehicles with a conforming part.

状況
交換修理用部品として出荷した運転席エアバッグにおいて、ステアリングホイールへの取付用ブラケットの溶接作業が不適切であったため、使用過程において溶接点が剥がれて外れる可能性がある。そのため、最悪の場合、エアバッグ作動時に正常位置で展開せず、乗員保護性能が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該運転席エアバッグを良品と交換する。
