Defect
In the passenger-side airbag inflator, the root cause has not been identified; however, the inflator housing may rupture during airbag deployment. As a preventive measure, the inflator will be replaced on all vehicles.
Corrective action
As a preventive measure on all vehicles, the passenger-side airbag inflator will be replaced with a new unit and the removed inflators will be collected for root-cause investigation. If replacement parts are unavailable, an interim measure will disable the passenger-side airbag function and display a warning on the passenger-side sun visor indicating that the airbag is inoperative.

状況
助手席用エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、原因は判明していないが、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ容器が破損するおそれがあることから、全車両、予防的措置として、当該インフレータを交換する。
改善措置
全車両、予防的措置として、助手席用エアバッグインフレータを新品と交換、回収して不具合原因調査を実施する。 なお、部品が供給できない場合には、暫定措置として助手席用エアバッグの機能を停止するとともに、助手席サンバイザ部に当該エアバッグが作動しない旨の警告を表示する。
