Defect
Insufficient consideration was given to electrical noise resistance in the airbag control unit, leaving some units with inadequate noise immunity. Electrical noise generated by the vehicle's electrical components may damage an IC chip inside the unit during service life. In the worst case, the airbag may deploy while the vehicle is in motion.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the airbag control unit with the corrected part.

状況
エアバッグコントロールユニットにおいて、電気ノイズの影響に対する検討が不十分なため、ノイズ耐力が不足しているものがある。そのため、車両の電装部品から発生するノイズにより、使用過程で当該ユニット内のＩＣチップが損傷し、最悪の場合、走行中にエアバッグが展開するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアバッグコントロールユニットを対策品に交換する。
