Defect
In the electric hot-water heater, inadequate process control during manufacturing of the temperature-control element causes cracks to develop in that element through repeated heater use. This destabilizes heater control and reduces heating performance. If the windshield fogs as a result, the driver may be unable to maintain a safe field of vision.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the electric hot-water heater with a conforming unit.

状況
電気温水ヒーターにおいて、温度を制御する素子の製造工程管理が不適切なため、電気温水ヒーターの繰り返し使用により、当該素子に亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、ヒーター制御が不安定となって暖房性能が低下し、前面ガラス曇りが生じた場合に安全な視野を確保できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、電気温水ヒーターを良品に交換する。
