Defect
On medium-duty trucks, the heat treatment method applied to the wheel cylinder tappet in the rear brake assembly is inadequate, leaving some tappets with insufficient strength. As a result, the tappet cannot withstand brake application pressure and breaks, causing brake fluid to leak from the wheel cylinder and reducing braking force.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rear brake assembly with a unit incorporating a conventionally manufactured tappet.

状況
中型トラックの後輪ブレーキにおいて、ホイールシリンダのタペットの熱処理方法が不適切なため、当該タペットの強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、タペットがブレーキ作動時の圧力に耐えられず破損し、ホイールシリンダからブレーキ液が漏れて、制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、従来品のタペットを組み込んだ後輪ブレーキアッセンブリに交換する。
