Defect

On heavy-duty buses, the front brake hose connections are improperly tightened during assembly, resulting in insufficient clamping force at the connection points. Continued use may cause the connections to loosen and allow air to leak from the brake system. In the worst case, braking force may decrease.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the tightening torque at the affected hose connection points and, where torque is insufficient, tighten to the specified value. The gaskets are to be replaced with new parts during this procedure.

状況

 大型バスにおいて、フロントブレーキホースの締付け作業が不適切なため、接続部の締付け力が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、接続部が緩んでエアが漏れ、最悪の場合、制動力が低下するおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、当該ホース接続部の締付けトルクを点検し、トルクが不足しているものは正規トルクで締め付ける。なお、その際パッキンを新品に交換する。
