Defect
On hybrid vehicles equipped with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, the sleeve on the 1st-gear hub inside the transmission may not move smoothly. This prevents 1st gear from engaging, resulting in difficulty pulling away (delayed or no vehicle movement), rollback on slopes, and poor acceleration (engine over-revving). Alternatively, sudden engagement of 1st gear may cause unintended sudden vehicle movement. Additionally, all shift position indicators on the meter display may illuminate simultaneously, or the transmission warning lamp may flash, and a "Transmission Inspection" message may appear on the meter display.
Corrective action
Notify all customers of the condition. As an interim measure, advise customers to use "S mode" or "SPORT mode" (a sport-type mode that does not, in principle, use 1st gear) and to apply the parking brake when parked on slopes. Check the on-board service diagnostic recorder; if a gear engagement failure has been logged, replace the automatic transmission with a conforming unit on the basis that internal components may be damaged (implementation begins February 10). If requested by the customer, the transmission may alternatively be repaired by replacing internal components. Subsequently, update the engine control unit software to improve 1st gear engagement (implementation scheduled from February 27).

状況
ハイブリッド車の７速ＤＣＴ型自動変速機において、変速機内の１速ギヤのハブ上をスリーブが滑らかに動かないものがある。そのため、１速ギヤがかみ合わないために、発進不良（発進までに時間がかかる、発進しない等）、坂道でのずり下がり、加速不良（エンジンの吹け上がり）が発生したり、急に１速がかみ合うために、意図しない急発進等をする場合がある。また、メータディスプレイのシフトポジションが全点灯し、またはトランスミッション警告灯が点滅し、メータディスプレイに「トランスミッション点検」の表示がされることがある。
改善措置
全てのお客様に不具合の内容を通知し、当面の暫定措置として「Ｓモード」または、「ＳＰＯＲＴモード」（原則として１速ギヤを使用しないスポーツタイプのモード）での使用や坂道で駐車ブレーキを使用することを注意喚起するとともに、車載のサービス診断記録装置を確認し、自動変速機のギヤが噛み合わなかったことが記録されている場合は、内部部品が損傷している可能性があることから自動変速機を良品に交換する（２月１０日から実施）。但し、お客様から要望があった場合には、自動変速機の部品交換にて対応する。その上で、１速ギヤがかみ合いやすくなるようにエンジン制御ユニットのプログラムを変更する（２月２７日（予定）から実施）。
