Issue

On the brake operating simulator of the electric servo brake system, an inadequate manufacturing process allows assembly oil used during production to enter the pressure sensor. Over time, this oil causes corrosion of the resistive element inside the sensor, producing abnormal output values. When this occurs, a warning lamp illuminates, the fail-safe control activates, and brake pedal effort increases.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the output value of the brake operating simulator pressure sensor is inspected. Any unit outside the inspection standard is replaced with a corrected brake operating simulator.

状況

電動サーボブレーキシステムのブレーキオペレーティングシミュレータにおいて、製造工程が不適切なため、製造時に使用する組付け油が圧力センサ内に浸入することがある。そのため、使用過程で当該センサ内の抵抗部が腐食し、出力値が異常となり、警告灯が点灯するとともにフェールセーフが働き、ブレーキペダルの操作力が増大するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ブレーキオペレーティングシミュレータの圧力センサの出力値を点検し、点検基準を外れるものはブレーキオペレーティングシミュレータを対策品と交換する。
