Defect
The EGR valve bushing seal design at the valve shaft is inadequate, causing sealing performance to degrade during valve shaft operation and allowing exhaust gas to enter the motor. Exhaust gas intrusion causes abnormal wear of the brushes inside the motor, leading to a conduction fault. When this occurs, the EGR valve ceases to function and the engine warning light illuminates.
Corrective action
Inspect the EGR valve on all vehicles to identify its configuration. If the valve has the pre-revision seal design, replace it with a corrected part.

状況
排気ガス再循環(EGR)バルブにおいて、バルブシャフト部にあるブッシュのシール構造が不適切なため、バルブシャフト作動時にシール性が低下し、排気ガスがモータ内に侵入する場合がある。その後、モータ内部にあるブラシが異常摩耗することにより導通不良が発生すると、EGRバルブの機能が停止し、エンジン警告灯が点灯する。
改善措置
全車両、排気ガス再循環(EGR)バルブの外観形状を確認し、シール構造変更前品の場合には対策品と交換する。
