Defect
On four-wheel-drive vehicles equipped with a vehicle stability control system, the stability control module was incorrectly programmed with software intended for two-wheel-drive specifications. When braking slowly on icy or similarly low-traction surfaces, the ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) may fail to activate, causing wheel lockup and a loss of vehicle stability.
Corrective action
On all affected vehicles, reprogram the stability control module with the correct software.

状況
四輪駆動の横滑り防止装置付仕様車において、横滑り防止装置コントローラに二輪駆動仕様の制御プログラムを誤って書き込んだため、凍結した路面等でゆっくりと制動したときにＡＢＳ（アンチロックブレーキシステム）が作動せずに車輪がロックし、車両安定性が損なわれるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該制御プログラムを良品に書き換える。
