Defect
The hydraulic control software in the continuously variable transmission (CVT) with primary reduction gear is incorrectly programmed. When the shift lever is moved to a forward or reverse position and the accelerator is applied rapidly, excessive load is placed on the CVT drive pulley shaft. If this condition is repeated, the shaft may fracture and the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all affected vehicles, retrieve the onboard service diagnostic log and check the load history on the drive pulley shaft. If the load is within the specified value, reprogram the hydraulic control software with the corrected program. If the load exceeds the specified value, replace the CVT with a new unit and reprogram the hydraulic control software with the corrected program.

状況
一次減速機構付無段変速機の油圧制御プログラムが不適切なため、変速レバーを前進又は後退位置へ操作後、すばやいアクセル操作を行うと、無段変速機のドライブプーリシャフトに高い負荷が加わることがある。そのため、その状態を繰り返すとシャフトが折損し走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、車載のサービス診断記録装置を確認し、ドライブプーリシャフトへの負荷状態が基準値以内の場合は、油圧制御プログラムを対策プログラムに書き換える。基準値以外の場合は、無段変速機を新品と交換するとともに、油圧制御プログラムを対策プログラムに書き換える。
