Defect
The air conditioning evaporator was manufactured using an improper process. When paired with certain compressors, internal corrosion can develop within the evaporator, causing it to perforate and leak refrigerant and lubricating oil. This reduces air conditioning performance and, in the worst case, deprives the compressor of lubrication, causing it to seize and stall the engine during low-speed driving.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the air conditioning compressor. If the vehicle is affected, replace the evaporator with the corrected part. Inspect the removed evaporator; if refrigerant or lubricating oil leakage is confirmed, replace the compressor with a new unit.

状況
エアコンのエバポレータにおいて、製造方法が不適切なため、一部のコンプレッサとの組み合わせにより当該部品の内部から腐食して穴があき、冷媒および潤滑油が漏れることがある。そのため、エアコンの効きが悪くなり、最悪の場合、コンプレッサが潤滑不足でロックし、低速走行中にエンストするおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアコンのコンプレッサを確認し、該当する場合はエバポレータを対策品に交換するとともに、取り外したエバポレータを点検し、エバポレータから冷媒および潤滑油の漏れが認められた場合は、コンプレッサを新品に交換する。
