Issue
On vehicles equipped with the idling stop (i-Stop) system, the electric power steering control unit contains a software error. After the engine automatically restarts from an idling stop state, the power steering function may rarely fail to activate, increasing steering effort required by the driver.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the electric power steering control unit. Alternatively, replace the control unit with a corrected/revised part.

状況
アイドリングストップ（ｉ－Ｓｔｏｐ）仕様車において、電動式パワーステアリング制御用コンピュータのプログラムが不適切なため、アイドリングストップ状態からエンジンが自動で再始動した後に、まれにパワステ機能が作動しないことがあり、ハンドル操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、電動式パワーステアリング制御用コンピュータのプログラムを書き換える。若しくは、当該制御用コンピュータを対策品に交換する。
