Defect
Certain type-certified underride guards were manufactured with component materials and stay mounting positions that differ from the approved type-certification specifications. Additionally, incomplete entries were identified in production records required to be maintained under the certification process. As a result, these guards do not satisfy type-certification requirements and may not conform to the Safety Standards under the Road Vehicles Act.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the underride guard with a unit that meets the approved type-certification specifications.

状況
型式指定を受けた突入防止装置において、構成部品の一部の材質及びステーの取付位置が、型式指定を受けたものと異なっていたものがあった。また、装置の生産において記録が必要とされる記録表の一部に、記載内容の不備が確認された。このため、装置の型式指定の要件を満足せず、道路運送車両法の保安基準に適合しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、装置の型式指定を受けた突入防止装置と交換する。
