Defect
On vehicles equipped with an automatic 6-speed manual mode transmission (6AMT), if the vehicle is driven through flooded roads and water enters the transmission through the drain holes at the lower case, the clutch lever pivot may rust due to improper surface treatment applied during manufacturing. Rust at the pivot causes the clutch lever to slide sluggishly, resulting in delayed gear changes. If use continues in this condition, the rust progresses and, in the worst case, the clutch lever seizes completely. When this occurs, a warning lamp illuminates and a warning chime sounds, protective control locks the transmission in a fixed gear making further gear changes impossible, and the vehicle cannot be driven after stopping.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the clutch lever with a new unit and apply grease to the pivot. Customers will be notified to have the grease reapplied every three years thereafter. Until replacement parts are available, as an interim measure, remove rust from the pivot and apply grease only. Customers will be contacted again once replacement parts are ready.

状況
自動６速マニュアルモードトランスミッション（６ＡＭＴ）搭載車において、冠水路等を走行し、トランスミッション下部の水抜き穴から水が浸入した場合、クラッチレバーの支点部の表面処理が不適切だったため、支点部が錆びるものがある。 そのため、クラッチレバーの摺動不良により変速遅れが発生し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると錆びが進行し、最悪の場合、クラッチレバーが動かなくなるため、警告灯が点灯及び警告音が鳴動するとともに、保護制御によりギヤが固定されて変速できなくなり、停車後に発進できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、クラッチレバーを新品に変えるとともに支点部にグリスを塗布し、更に３年毎に案内のうえ、グリスの再塗布を行う。 なお、交換部品が準備できるまでは、暫定対応として、支点部の錆を落としたうえでグリス塗布のみを行い、交換部品の準備ができ次第改めて案内をする。
