Defect
In the brake actuator, an incorrect seal ring was installed during assembly. Brake fluid leaks through the faulty seal into the brake actuator, activating the brake warning lamp. Braking force may decrease as a result.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the brake actuator serial number and replace any affected unit with a non-defective unit. Inspect the brake actuator connector for brake fluid contamination, and if found, replace the electrical wiring with a new unit.
