Defect
In the heater circuit used to warm the combustion chamber during cold engine starts, the heater relay cable was incorrectly wired, resulting in a connection that bypasses the fuse. When a short circuit occurs, excessive current continues to flow through the heater cable without interruption. Continued use in this condition may cause the cable to burn.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the heater cable wiring. On vehicles with incorrect wiring, correct the connection to the proper configuration.

状況
原動機の冷間時に燃焼室内の空気を加熱するヒータ用の回路において、ヒータリレーのケーブル結線を間違えたため、ヒューズを介さない結線となったものがある。そのため、短絡した際に、ヒータ用ケーブルに過電流が流れ続け、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ケーブルが焼損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ケーブル結線を点検し、誤結線の場合は正規の結線に修正する。
