Defect
The adapter connecting the engine flywheel to the transmission has a mounting flange surface that is not smooth, preventing the connecting bolts from achieving the required clamping force. Vibration during driving causes the bolts to loosen, increasing the stress they carry. Continued use in this condition can cause the bolts to fracture, leaving the adapter unsecured and interrupting power transmission. In the worst case, the vehicle becomes inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the adapter and adapter mounting bolts with corrected parts. Apply molybdenum coating to the adapter mounting bolts to stabilize clamping force.

状況
エンジンフライホイルとトランスミッションの接続部品であるアダプタにおいて、フライホイルとアダプタを接続しているボルトの取付部座面が平滑でないため、必要な締結力が得られず走行時の振動によりボルトが緩み、ボルトに掛かる応力が増大する。そのままの状態で使用を続けた場合、ボルトが折損してアダプタが固定できなくなり動力伝達不能となるため、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、アダプタ及びアダプタ取付ボルトを対策品と交換する。アダプタ取付ボルトにモリブデンを塗布し、締結力の安定化を図る。
