Defect
On some engine crankshaft pulleys, an insufficient amount of adhesive was applied between the pulley outer ring and the vibration-damping rubber. The bond may separate, causing the outer ring to spin freely, generating abnormal noise and illuminating the battery charge warning light. In the worst case, the power steering pump belt may disengage, causing a sudden and significant increase in steering effort.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the manufacturing code of the crankshaft pulley and replace any affected units with non-defective parts.

状況
エンジンのクランクシャフトプーリにおいて、プーリ外輪と防振ゴム間の接着剤塗布量が不足しているものがある。そのため、当該接着部が剥がれて、プーリ外輪が空転することで異音が発生したり、充電警告灯が点灯することがある。また、最悪の場合、パワーステアリングポンプ用ベルトが外れて、急にハンドル操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該クランクシャフトプーリの製造記号を確認し、該当するものは良品に交換する。
