Defect
On some engine crankshaft pulleys, an insufficient amount of adhesive was applied between the pulley outer ring and the vibration-damping rubber. The bond may separate, causing the outer ring to spin freely, generating abnormal noise and illuminating the battery charge warning light. In the worst case, the power steering pump belt may disengage, causing a sudden and significant increase in steering effort.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the manufacturing code of the crankshaft pulley and replace any affected units with non-defective parts.

状況
