Defect
An improper manufacturing process for the propeller shaft has resulted in cracks at the weld joint between the pipe and the spline shaft on some units. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate. In the worst case, the propeller shaft may fracture and detach, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
Replace the propeller shaft with a conforming unit on all vehicles.

状況
プロペラシャフトの製造工程が不適切なため、パイプとスプラインシャフトの溶接部に亀裂が発生しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該溶接部の亀裂が進展し、最悪の場合、プロペラシャフトが折損・脱落し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該プロペラシャフトを良品と交換する。
