Defect
The rear shock absorber mounting bracket is improperly welded. Vibration during driving can cause the weld to separate, degrading vehicle stability. In the worst case, the detached bracket contacts and damages the air spring, causing an air leak that allows the vehicle body to tilt.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the weld condition of the bracket. Any bracket with an improper weld is to be re-welded.
