Defect
A supplemental sound-insulating material was installed near the front seat belt retractor assembly—which incorporates a belt tensioner at the base of the center pillar that instantly retracts seat belt slack during a collision. When the belt tensioner deploys, the high-temperature gas it generates may melt and damage the supplemental material. In the worst case, this may result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, remove the supplemental sound-insulating material.

状況
センターピラー下部のベルトテンショナ（衝突時に座席ベルトの弛みを瞬時に巻き取る装置）付前席ベルト巻取装置付近に遮音補助材を設定したため、衝突時にベルトテンショナが作動した際に発生する高温ガスにより当該補助材が溶損することがあり、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。がある。
改善措置
全車両、当該補助材を取り外す。
