Defect
The ratchet engagement profile that retains the parking brake lever is improperly shaped. Repeated parking brake operation wears down the mating surface on the push rod side, causing the engagement to disengage. As a result, the parking brake lever may fail to hold its set position or may release suddenly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the complete parking brake lever assembly with a good unit.

状況
駐車ブレーキレバーを保持するラチェットの嵌合部形状が不適切なため、駐車ブレーキ操作を繰り返すと、プッシュロッド側の嵌合部が削れ、嵌合が外れるものがある。そのため、駐車ブレーキレバーの噛み合いが不十分となり、駐車ブレーキが保持できない又は、駐車ブレーキが突然、解除されるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、駐車ブレーキレバー一式を良品と交換する。
