Defect
The control unit data for the automatic beam-leveling system on High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps contains incorrect values. As a result, the headlamp optical axis may not be adjusted automatically, causing the headlamps to fall outside the specified aim.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the control unit data for the automatic headlamp beam-leveling system and, if the data is incorrect, reprogram it to the correct values.
