Defect
The waterproofing treatment at the wiring branch of the discharge-type (HID) low-beam headlamp is inadequate. Water that enters the wiring migrates into the lamp control unit, causing corrosion of the circuit board. In the worst case, the headlamp may fail to illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected wiring with a corrected part. Additionally, inspect the connector section of the control unit; if water intrusion or other abnormality is found, replace the control unit with a new unit.

状況
放電式(ディスチャージ)すれ違い用前照灯において、電気配線の分岐部の防水処理が不適 切なため、電気配線内に入った水が点灯用制御装置内に浸入して回路基板が腐食し、最悪 の場合、当該前照灯が点灯しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該電気配線を対策品に交換する。更に当該制御装置のコネクタ部を点検し、水 浸入等の異常が認められたものは、当該制御装置も新品に交換する。
