Defect

The routing of the automatic transmission shift cable is improper, allowing it to contact the brake pipes during vehicle vibration. Continued use causes the anti-rust coating on the brake pipes to peel, leading to rust. In the worst case, rust progression allows brake fluid to leak from the affected section, reducing braking force.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the brake pipes. Where the anti-rust coating has peeled, replace the brake pipes with new ones. Additionally, install protective material on the shift cable and replace the cable retaining bracket with a corrected/revised part.

状況

自動変速機のシフトケーブルの取り回しが不適切なため、走行中の振動等により、ブレーキパイプと干渉するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、ブレーキパイプの防錆塗装が剥がれて錆が発生し、最悪の場合、錆が進行した箇所からブレーキ液が漏れ、制動力が低下するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ブレーキパイプを点検し、防錆塗装が剥がれているものは、ブレーキパイプを新品と交換する。また、シフトケーブルに保護材を取り付け、ケーブル固定金具を対策品と交換する。
