Defect
On van-type vehicles, the mounting points for the underride protection device have insufficient strength. During use, cracks may develop at these mounting points. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate until the mounting point fractures, which in the worst case may cause the underride protection device to lose its protective function.
Corrective action
Inspect all vehicles. On vehicles where cracks are found at the underride protection device mounting points, replace the affected parts with new units and install reinforcement members. On vehicles where no cracks are found, install reinforcement members.

状況
バン型車両において、巻込み防止装置取付部の強度が不足している為、使用過程において巻込み防止装置取付部に亀裂が生じることがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、当該取付部が破断し、最悪の場合巻込み防止装置の機能を損なう恐れがある。
改善措置
全車両点検し、巻込み防止装置取付部に亀裂の発生している車両については、新品と交換した上で、『補強部材』の取付を行う。又、亀裂の発生していない車両については、『補強部材』の取付を行う。
