Defect
The weld material used at the exhaust pipe weld joint is inadequate, causing corrosion at the joint. Continued use allows a crack to develop and propagate, increasing exhaust noise. In the worst case, the exhaust pipe severs and detaches from the vehicle.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the muffler and exhaust pipe with corrected parts.

状況
排気管溶接部の溶接材が不適切なため、当該溶接部が腐食するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が発生するものがあり、溶接部の亀裂が進行して騒音が増大し、最悪の場合、排気管が切損し脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、消音器及び排気管を対策品と交換する。
