Defect
The oil filler cap on the left rocker cover is made of an inappropriate material, causing the cap to shrink due to heat exposure. Continued operation allows internal rocker cover pressure to eject the cap, scattering engine oil. In the worst case, this may result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the oil filler caps on both left and right rocker covers with corrected parts. Because full supply of corrected parts will require additional time, an interim measure is to replace the left bank oil filler cap with a current new-production cap; corrected parts will subsequently be installed on both banks.

状況
左側ロッカーカバーのオイルフィラーキャップの材質が不適切なため、熱影響によりキャップが収縮するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、ロッカー部の内圧によりキャップが脱落し、潤滑油が飛散し、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、左右ロッカーカバーのオイルフィラーキャップを対策品に交換する。 なお、対策品の全数供給までに時間を要するため、暫定措置として左バンクのオイルフィラーキャップを現行新品に交換し、後日、左右バンクともに対策品と交換する。
