Defect
① The bolts securing the head idler gear that drives the engine camshaft are insufficiently torqued, causing play to develop in the gear on some units. Continued use allows the bolts to loosen further, degrading gear mesh and producing abnormal noise. In the worst case, the bolts may fracture, causing the gear to disengage and the engine to stall, leaving the vehicle unable to restart.
Corrective action
① On all vehicles, replace the idler gear retaining bolts with corrected parts and install them to the newly specified torque value. If the bolts are found to be loose, replace the idler gear with a new unit.

状況
①原動機のカムシャフトを駆動するヘッドアイドラギヤを固定するボルトの締付けが不足しているため、当該ギヤにがたが発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、ボルトに弛みが発生して、ギヤの噛み合いが不良となり異音が発生し、最悪の場合、当該ボルトが折損してギヤの噛み合いが外れてエンジンが停止し、再始動不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、当該アイドラギヤを固定するボルトを対策品と交換し、当該ボルトのを新たに設定した締付トルクで取付ける。なお、当該ボルトが緩んでいる場合は、アイドラギヤを新品と交換する。
