Issue
Insufficient damper capacity in the engine causes excessive torsional vibration, which can cause the damper-integrated crank pulley mounted at the front end of the crankshaft to slip. Continued operation in this condition may damage the pulley or fracture the crankshaft pulley mounting section, causing the accessory drive belt to disengage. In the worst case, this results in a charging failure, rising coolant temperature, and increased steering effort.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the damper, damper mounting bolts, crank pulley, taper cone, and water pump assembly are replaced with corrected parts. The crankshaft is also inspected on all vehicles; any crankshaft found to be damaged is replaced with a serviceable unit.

状況
原動機において、ダンパの容量不足のためエンジンに過大な捩り振動が発生し、クランクシャフト前端部に取り付けられているダンパ一体形のクランクプーリが滑る場合がある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると当該プーリが破損、又はクランクシャフトのプーリ取付部が折損するとともに補機ベルトが外れ、最悪の場合、充電不良や冷却水温度の上昇及びハンドルの操作が重くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ダンパ、ダンパ取付ボルト、クランクプーリ、テーパーコーン、ウォーターポンプ一式を対策品と交換する。 全車両クランクシャフトを点検し、損傷がある場合はクランクシャフトを良品と交換する。
