Defect
On LPG-fueled vehicles, the LPG tank mounting bracket is installed in an incorrect position, causing the LPG tank or bracket to protrude beyond the outer perimeter of the counterweight. Continued operation in this condition allows the protruding tank or bracket to contact surrounding objects during work operations. In the worst case, the LPG tank may be damaged.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the LPG tank mounting position. If the LPG tank or bracket protrudes beyond the counterweight perimeter, rework the bracket mounting holes and add washers to ensure the tank and bracket do not protrude.
