Defect
In the torque converter transmission, the disc spring that absorbs shock during forward/reverse directional shifts has insufficient strength. Frequent forward/reverse shifting can fracture the spring. Continued operation allows broken spring fragments to become wedged between the clutch gear and drum. In the worst case, the vehicle moves from a neutral position without driver input.
Corrective action
Replace the torque converter transmission on all vehicles with a corrected part.

状況
トルクコンバータ式変速機において、前後進切替操作時のショックを軽減させる皿バネの強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、前後進切替操作を頻繁に行うと、当該バネが破損し、そのまま使用を続けると、破損したバネ小片がクラッチギヤとドラムの間に噛み込み、最悪の場合、ニュートラル状態で車両が動き出すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、トルクコンバータ式変速機を対策品と交換する。
