Defect
For forklifts and similar vehicles, regulatory compliance verification for the combination of work equipment specifications (forks, etc.) ordered at the time of purchase was insufficient. As a result, the mounting position of the turn signal lamps on some vehicles does not satisfy the requirements of Article 41 (Direction Indicators) of the Road Vehicles Safety Standards.
Corrective action
For all vehicles, relocate the turn signal lamps to a compliant position or replace the work equipment (forks, etc.) to bring the vehicle into conformance with Safety Standards.
