Defect
On low-floor, rear tandem-axle heavy trucks, inadequate die management during the forging process allowed scratched axle tube components to be assembled into affected vehicles. Repeated road-load inputs cause cracks to develop in the axle tube. In the worst case, the tube may fracture, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the axle tube. Any tube found with abnormalities must be replaced with a complete replacement axle housing assembly.

状況
低床式後２軸大型トラックの後軸のアクスルチューブにおいて、鍛造時の金型の管理が不 適切なため、当該チューブに傷のついた部品が組み付けられた車両がある。そのため、路 面からの入力等の繰り返しにより当該チューブに亀裂が発生し、最悪の場合、チューブが 破断して、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、アクスルチューブを点検し、チューブに異常が見られるものは、良品のアクスル ハウジング一式に交換する。
