Defect
On rear two-axle heavy trucks, the welding process for the rear trailing axle (non-drive axle) axle housing was improperly performed, resulting in vehicles assembled with defective axle housing welds. Continued use can cause cracks to develop at the weld. In the worst case, the axle housing can fracture, rendering the vehicle inoperable, or the brake drum can overheat and cause a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the weld on the affected axle housing. Any unit showing abnormalities must be replaced with a non-defective unit.

状況
後２軸大型トラックの後々軸（非駆動軸）アクスルハウジングの溶接工程が不適切なため、溶接不良のアクスルが組込まれた車両がある。 そのため、使用を続けると溶接部に亀裂が発生し、最悪の場合、アクスルハウジングが折損して、走行不能又はブレーキドラムが過熱し車両火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該アクスルハウジングの溶接部を点検し、異常の認められるものは、良品と交換する。
