Defect
The routing of the electrical wiring inside the instrument panel is inadequate, causing the wiper linkage to contact and interfere with the wiring during wiper operation. Continued use in this condition damages the wiring. In the worst case, warning lamps may illuminate falsely, or the starter may malfunction and burn out, preventing the engine from starting.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, install additional band clips to secure adequate clearance between the wiring and wiper linkage. If the harness is already damaged, perform the necessary repair.

状況
インストルメントパネル内部の電気配線の取りまわしが不適切なため、ワイパー作動時に ワイパーリンクと当該配線が干渉するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続 けると、当該配線が損傷し、最悪の場合、ウォーニングランプが誤点灯する、又はスター タが誤作動し焼損して、エンジンが始動出来なくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、バンドクリップ追加し隙間を確保する。なおハーネスが損傷している場合は補修 処置を行う。
