Defect

On some vehicles, the vehicle speed sensor wiring and the idle speed control wiring in the engine compartment are improperly secured. Engine movement during driving pulls the wiring taut. In the worst case, the wiring breaks, resulting in incorrect speedometer readings or unstable engine idling.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, relocate and re-secure the affected engine compartment wiring to the correct position.

状況

①エンジンルーム内の車速センサ用配線およびアイドル回転数制御装置用配線の固定方法 が不適切なものがあり、走行中のエンジンの挙動により配線が引っ張られる。そのため、 最悪の場合、配線が断線し、速度計指示不良またはアイドル不調となるおそれがある。

改善措置

①全車両、エンジンルーム内配線の固定位置を変更する。
