Defect
On some vehicles, the vehicle speed sensor wiring and the idle speed control wiring in the engine compartment are improperly secured. Engine movement during driving pulls the wiring taut. In the worst case, the wiring breaks, resulting in incorrect speedometer readings or unstable engine idling.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, relocate and re-secure the affected engine compartment wiring to the correct position.
