Defect
On vehicles with rear axles converted to air suspension, the addition of a lateral rod concentrates stress at the cross member mounting points on the frame during cornering or rough-road driving, causing cracks to develop. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate and, in the worst case, the frame can fracture and driving stability is compromised.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reinforcement plates are added to the frame. The frame is also inspected, and any cracks found are repaired.

状況
後軸をエアサスペンションに改造した車両において、ラテラルロッドを取り付けたため、旋回時あるいは悪路走行時に車枠のクロスメンバ取付部に応力が集中し、亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、亀裂が進行して、最悪の場合、車枠が破損し走行安定性が損なわれるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、車枠に補強板を追加する。なお、車枠を点検し、亀裂が発生しているものは亀裂を補修する。
