Defect

The rubber clip securing the air hose routed to the rear wheel brakes is positioned incorrectly, allowing it to contact the parking brake air hose. Continued operation causes vibration-induced abrasion between the two hoses. In the worst case, the hose develops a hole, air leaks, and braking force is reduced or the parking brake cannot be released.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the hose clip position. Reposition any incorrectly located clips to the specified location and replace both brake air hoses with new parts.
