Defect

The front coil springs are improperly shaped and have insufficient corrosion resistance. During driving, coil-to-coil contact and mud water that accumulates inside the anti-noise tube strip the paint coating, allowing corrosion to progress. Continued use may cause the coil spring to fracture, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the front strut assembly with the corrected part.

状況

②前輪用コイルスプリングにおいて、コイルスプリングの形状が不適切かつ、耐腐食性が  不足しているため、走行時コイルスプリングの線間接触及び異音防止用チューブ内にた  まっている泥水により塗膜が剥がれ腐食が進行することがあり、そのままの状態で使用  を続けると、最悪の場合、コイルスプリングが折損し、走行が出来なくなるおそれがあ  る。

改善措置

②全車両、前輪用ストラット一式を対策品と交換する。
