Defect
In the fuel system, excessive friction resistance at the delivery pipe mounting point causes torsional stress on the fuel pipe during assembly to the check valve on the engine-mounted fuel pump. This stress may misalign the check valve and fuel pipe connection. Vibration during fuel pump operation then gradually reduces the airtightness of the valve mounting, and fuel may leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the engine serial number. On affected units, replace the fuel pipe with a corrected part that reduces friction at the mounting point, and retighten the check valve.

状況
燃料装置において、原動機に取り付けられている燃料ポンプのチェックバルブ(逆止弁 )に配管されている燃料パイプを組み付ける際、デリバリパイプ側の取付部の摩擦抵抗が 過大なため、燃料パイプにねじれ力が発生してチェックバルブと燃料パイプの位置関係が ずれることがあり、燃料ポンプ作動時の振動等により当該バルブ取付部の気密性が徐々に 低下し、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、原動機の製造番号を確認し、該当するものは燃料パイプ取付部の摩擦を軽減し た対策品と交換するとともに、チェックバルブを再締め付けする。
